Antique Farmhouse
This home is 75% addition, yet echoes the form and scale of the original late nineteenth century antique home. Two gable roof “house” forms are connected by a simple farmer’s porch along a spine containing the kitchen, dining, and mudroom entry. Fieldstone fireplaces in the original dining room and new family room create center points of the home’s living spaces. Views from the backyard porch and bedroom balconies overlook orchards in a lower field.
